Protecting & Restoring The Most Endangered Rainforest On Earth

Saving Species, Storing Carbon & Improving Livelihoods in Ecuador

It’s Time to Get to Work

Ecosystem Recovery

30% of all plant and animal species are on the brink of extinction.

Carbon Drawdown

Tropical forests continue to be the planet’s most effective carbon-capture technology at scale.

Reversing Deforestation

50% of the earth’s rainforests have disappeared in the last 50 years.

What We Do

Protect

TMA protects the last remnants of the Pacific Forest of Ecuador by building and connecting nature preserves.

More

Reforest

We provide local farmers with start-up capital and financial incentives to convert deforested land into regenerative forests.

More

Optimize

TMA uses data analytics and ecological feedback to optimize restoration outcomes across every hectare we protect and restore.

Ecuador Where We Work Approximately 98% of Ecuador’s coastal forest has already been lost. It is one of the most endangered tropical ecosystems on earth. The Jama-Coaque Reserve (JCR) protects one of the last major remnants of rainforest and cloud forest in this critically-threatened region. JCR is located in the heart of the Tumbes-Chocó-Magdalena Biodiversity hotspot, about 10 km south of the equator line and 5 km inland from the Pacific Ocean.
